Kannauj in the 7th century: when Emperor Harshavardhana imposed a tax on vetiver, the city's perfume masters rebelled and drenched it overnight in aromatic oils until the tax was dropped. Rebellious, defiant, alluring. A classic earthy, woody vetiver with a sweet floral finish, a union of ancient perfumery and modern refinement.
